Abstract
Based on documents from the State Archives of the Russian Federation (GARF) and the
State Archives of the Republic of Buryatia (GARB), the article examines the stage and areas of work
of one of the state authorities of the Buryat-Mongolian ASSR (BMASSR) – the Plenipotentiary Representative Office, which operated under the All-Russian Central Executive Committee in Moscow.
The article briefly covers the activities of the BMASSR representative office from 1932 until the
liquidation of the representative office institution based on the decree of the Supreme Soviet of the
RSFSR of December 3, 1938.
