The Role of Intelligence in Thwarting the Japanese Attack on the USSR (1941–1942)

Abstract
The article is devoted to the role of intelligence in the refusal of the top leadership of Japan from plans to attack the USSR in 1941–1942. It is emphasized that Japanese intelligence information about the sufficiency of the Soviet defense potential in the Far East to repel aggression played a significant role in this.
