Abstract
The content of the four-volume history of Irkutsk province is analyzed, prepared by a
group of Irkutsk researchers and dedicated to the 260th anniversary of the formation of the Irkutsk
Province. of the formation of the Irkutsk Province. It is emphasized that the reviewed monograph is
in full compliance with modern trends. monograph to the modern trends of the domestic historical
science, solid source and historiographic base well thought out and diverse appendix, qualitative
