The article concerns the importance of a monograph by A. S. Madzharova in terms of the integrated approach in the philosophy of history. It analyzes the main methodological findings of the author and represents their gnosiological and axiological significance in the context of understanding of the history of civilizations. It proves that an essential character of history and philosophy correlation in order to overcome the crisis of historical and philosophical knowledge in the modern Russian society. It reveals criterion of the critical approach to contemporary society, tending to the end of history and philosophy. It emphasizes the preservation of good academic traditions, expressed clearly in this monograph.
