In article process of formation and evolution of personnel structure of professors and teachers of historical disciplines in Irkutsk the state university from the moment of its establishment before the actual termination of arts education (1918–1920th) is considered. The state policy in the field of the higher arts education and its realization at the second university of Siberia is shown. Difficulties in the course of formation and development of historical formation are designated. It is noticed, that the first structures of teachers have ended the Russian universities, had experience of scientific and pedagogical activity, taught some disciplines in Irkutsk university. After the termination of Civil war there was a scale reform of higher education. The structure of teachers-historians has cardinally changed. Teachers, scientific employees, practical workers, teachers of schools, graduates of university, the persons who had the parting-political experience of work came. The generalizing portrait of structure of teachers of historical courses is presented, destinies of the first professors and teachers-historians are shown the YOKE. In a context of the general problem the documents taken from regional archive are comprehended.
