Abstract
The second part of the article analyzes the topics of dissertations defended in the dissertation
council of ISU in two specialties: the history of the CPSU and national history, its change in accordance
with the processes taking place in society. The mechanism for coordinating scientific research in the
social sciences is shown. A number of areas of research on national history, led by famous Siberian
historians F. A. Kudryavtsev, B. S. Sanzhiev, I. I. Kuznetsov, L. M. Dameshek and others, are shown.
