Author(s)
T. Ya. Yangel
Abstract
The article deals with the work and life path of the founder of the Theosophical movement E. P. Blavatsky. The author analyzes the fundamental work of E. P. Blavatsky “The Secret Doctrine”, which became the final result of many years of creative search and aspiration to reveal to the European reader the hidden Spiritual Knowledge, which is kept by the Orient. Theosophy is a synthesis of philosophy, religion and science, which is aimed, according to H. P. Blavatsky, at comprehending the Divine Truth, the hidden capabilities of a man and the mysterious phenomena of nature. The author characterizes the life path of E. P. Blavatsky as a bright charismatic personality, who became a disciple of the Tibetan Mahatmas and a conductor of occult knowledge. It is important to reveal the attitude to her activity on the part of contemporaries, associates, relatives and theosophists of the 21st century. Despite the fact that the work of E. P. Blavatsky belongs to the second half of the 19th century, it has not lost its relevance and interest to the present day for those who follow the path of moral improvement and the disclosure of the secrets of the surrounding world.
