Factory Schools: Experience of State Policy in the Field of Polytechnization of Secondary Schools in the Urals in the Early 1930s

Abstract
The problems of forming a system of advanced secondary schools in the early 1930s in the Ural region are considered. The network, material resources of educational institutions, personnel composition of school workers and the content of educational work are examined. Factory sevenyear schools are rated as the main type of general education institutions in cities and workers' settlements, providing education above primary.
